When the tea arrives, my impression is confirmed. The silver teapots are not registered on our tabl

"30 days to become academy pasadena a cordon bleu, Audrey Bourdin | Home | Gourmet Menu less than 4 euros per person (starter, main course and dessert): challenge accepted but not yet recovered! "
Small personal note: Stephanie, do not worry, snacks chic Parisians are not currently being exported to Dublin. academy pasadena Just returned from four days in Dublin, invited by Bord Bia to attend the "Bloom In the Park" festival, with other food bloggers French, Belgian, British and Irish. I took this trip to stay a little longer in Dublin, it's a very pleasant that I appreciate more and more city. During academy pasadena our free time, I really wanted to make a real "afternoon tea" academy pasadena in Dublin and Maeve from Bord Bia in we were advised the Shelbourne Hotel, academy pasadena along the beautiful park of St Stefen academy pasadena Green. After a phone reservation the day before we disembarked at 7 late in the afternoon in a very nice showroom at The Shelbourne Hotel, known as the "Lord Mayor's Lounge." The reception is very professional but warm, we are in a palace. Our table waiting for us with white tablecloth, cups and silverware. We sat with delight on the sofas and armchairs, while looking curiously around us. The living room, old and classic is almost full. We just have a moment of shyness as a dress code is displayed in the lobby and we did not really respected. Regardless, we are very well received and we see that it is true that some women are on their 31, we see a person in a hooded sweatshirt (breakaway European headquarters in Dublin facebook?). Once assured, we become aware of the map. In Shellbourne academy pasadena Hotel, a single menu: afternoon tea complete with finger sandwiches 27.95 euros at will, scones + cream + jam, assorted pastries and tea (also a taste of champagne 38.50). We choose to take a snack for two and this poses no problem for our charming waitresses. Once selected teas, a waitress unfolded with one hand each napkin and puts it on our knees. I do not think I've ever seen it in a tea room and I begin to understand that here, the afternoon tea is really a ceremonial institution and that a companion.
When the tea arrives, my impression is confirmed. The silver teapots are not registered on our table. The tea is served us through mini silver academy pasadena metal strainers and teapots each deposited on a hot plate on a table next to our table. academy pasadena As a sommelier, our waitress will regularly fill our cups. The only downside to this system is wearing nice at the end of the taste, the tea becomes bitter, which is a shame because the tea selection is pointed. After serving tea, come the "finger sandwhichs" without the crust, it's normal. They are served with a spoon sandwich that will fascinate me all the taste, I'd never seen one before academy pasadena (not pictured, oops!).
The bread is soft to perfection, delicate sandwiches. I enjoy it, although I was not able to taste everything (white bread cucumber and cream cheese, smoked salmon and brown bread, white bread egg and sprouts and roasted academy pasadena corn salad ham and mustard). Then comes the rack (cake stand in English) with scones buttermilk (buttermilk scones) snug in their towels, cream (clotted cream) absolutely delicious with green grass that the cows graze in Ireland and jams.
Pastry side: a "Eton mess" (a mixture of meringue, whipped cream, fruit and lemon curd, a "cherry trifle" (traditional dessert prepared in layers and includes a biscuit type "sponge" jelly fruit, custard and fruit) and mini "Victoria sponge cake" for the next Anglo-Saxon. The rest is more international with mini tarts with berries and creamy chocolate and Earl Grey tea served in chocolate cups.
Everything is very well done, I really enjoyed myself and I especially had a great time with my fellow taste (thank you again to all of you). We spent over two hours to enjoy this moment outside of time and in the evening we dropped our plan to dine at the restaurant and eventually grab something at the bar, according to everyone's appetite. It will cost 14 euros per person for a lunch for two, which is more than enough in my opinion. I recommend booking, especially on weekends, and allow plenty of time before you, this kind of moment is savored slowly. Enjoy! Afternoon Tea in Dublin shelb
