Welcome cookery school to the page dedicated Dutch LSRS Experience Sharing! Since this is the first

Welcome cookery school to the page dedicated Dutch LSRS Experience Sharing! Since this is the first post I will start with a short presentation. My name is Mihnea Bucur are forthe and learn the Netherlands (duh!) In Amsterdam, the Hotelschool the Hague (The Hague's headquarters, that's why they call it). School is not very big, but is a member of "Leading Hotelschools of the World" and boasts that it is the Top 3, along with Cornell University and Lausanne Hotel School. For the latter cost about 40,000 euros per year, it is understood why I chose the Netherlands. I study something very interesting, "Hospitality Management", cookery school something that has not occurred to us. It is not that the tourism sector in ESA, but a Business Administration that focuses on companies that have to do with hospitality (hotels, restaurants, bars etc). Courses last four years, but there are two periods (in early February and late April) for aprx 6 months every time you have to go to work (90% outside the Netherlands) in a company. cookery school In Year 2 is required to work in a hotel (4 or 5 stars), but in the last year have many options. The first internship working as a waitress, receptionist, etc., but in the second internship work in management. Internships are mandatory for the faculty that the focus is on both the practical and theoretical side. No need to have any previous experience in the first year because a "block" just doing practical things in college facilities (school itself, hotel and restaurant). A block has 8 weeks of training + 2 weeks during exams. The good thing is that you have a lot of holidays (after each block and Christmas), but it sucks that summer of just a month and a half, two holidays. Faculty is a pleasure because it's the total opposite of Romania. cookery school I use a system in which teachers are coaches who supposedly tell you little, and you have to research cookery school and read for the exam you must know a lot of things you never heard in class. I have saved hundreds of pages as the Polytechnic and not have to learn useless things. Everything you learn will be used at a time and most things (at least so far) are useful and when you go home (and revolutionized the way mom made salad). Altogether, college can be very difficult if you do not like these things, but very enjoyable and easy if your dream is to be a leader in a company, of course provided that you keep cool. The opportunities are huge, all companies are ecstatic when they show degree from Hotelschool the Hague. And not only hotels cookery school and restaurants, because only 50% of graduates end up in such a company, cookery school while the majority receive an offer of employment after completion of last internship. Now I'm on vacation, but I'll be back Wednesday night in Amsterdam. Perhaps in the early days did not have time to write (party hardy, courses, etc.), but I promise to come back with a summary of what we've been doing in school, details cookery school of the Netherlands and other things to help you make an impression of what it's like in college there. cookery school Kind regards, Mihnea Bucur PS for questions, concerns or just want advice when you come to the Netherlands, feel free to contact me Y! messenger, Facebook or Gmail
