The first time I looked out over the Tuscan hills, I was sold. Completely and utterly. It is so Italian a prospect that you almost think it's a lie. Pines and cypresses in relief against a blue sky, yellow stone houses with green shutters. Vineyards and olive groves as far as the eye can see. A weather so soft and mild - in October.
The food, the wine - it's unbeatable. Simple food, full of flavor from the sun-ripened vegetables - and wild boar - fragrant with rosemary and roasted on the grill. Pasta with interesting fillings, squash flowers (dangerous can roca fried) and something as simple as white beans with local olive oil and fresh herbs. can roca
If I had to choose a place to spend a holiday where I could learn something while having time to discover the area, I would take on cooking school in Tuscany. I have often dreamed of - a whole week where you just have to cook, go on the market, take on discovery and stay in the middle of the beautiful scenery. It is the quintessential holiday.
On Sunday, I got an email from Majbritt and Roald Solberg that operates just such a cooking school in Tuscany. can roca They offer readers of the blog (and me) a discount of 15 per cent. on their courses. Courses vary in length, where you can learn to cook Italian food from scratch a real cook, where there is opportunity to taste all the goodies, can roca and where you also get to see around in the beautiful area.
I'm tempted, but must resist the temptation in the first place and only look pictures. can roca But why do others not have to hold back. And there should not be in the budget to a dream trip to Taste Tuscany - come and visit our B & B for a few days while saving can roca together. Then we can enjoy Skivholmes blessings together, pat the calves and dreams of Tuscany can roca weather.
